1.0  INTRODUCTION

The main role of OR-MUUUB is to strengthen Good Governance in the conduct of government activities by designing policies, laws, regulations and procedures for the conduct and management of public service activities and building the capacity of public servants to provide quality services to citizens. According to the Separation of Responsibilities to Ministers as announced in the Government Gazette Version No. 619A&619B dated 30/8/2023, OR-MUUUB has the following responsibilities:-

(i) To prepare, update and oversee the implementation of Administrative Policies, e-Government, Public Service Housing, National Records and Archives, and Human Resources Management in the Public Service;

(ii) Managing the Public Service Administration;

(iii) to administer government work contracts;

(iv) To manage the planning and development of human resources in the Public Service;

(v) Managing the Wages List in the Public Service;

(v) Managing the Wages List in the Public Service;

(vi) to uphold the ethics of public service;

(vii) To prepare and manage the structures and systems of government operation and the improvement of the service delivery of the Public Service;

(viii) Coordinate the establishment and development of government agencies;

(ix) Oversight and improvements in the Public Service;

(x) To oversee the performance and development of human resources in the Office of the President, Public Service Management; And

(xi) Oversee the institutions, programs and projects under the Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance.
