INTRODUCTION
The Presidents Office - Labour, Economic Affairs and Investment (POLEI) was established in accordance with the Constitution of Zanzibar in 1984. POLEI has the objective of promoting and managing investment for the development of the country; Managing Access to Decent Jobs in the Private Sector; Supervising the Implementation of International, Regional and National Labor Laws; Strengthening Cooperation between the Public and Private Sectors as well as Strengthening and Promoting Economic Empowerment of Citizens.
